Discord is the definitive social layer for gaming—the ultimate place for players to hang out. Inspired by this creative community, we drove awareness across several key product launches.
By tapping directly into gaming culture, we elevated the average product video into authentic narratives. Using a hybrid workflow of live action and animation techniques, we created environments and narratives that feel less like a tech announcement and more like a major game launch.
For the launch of Orbs, we turned Discord rewards into a narrative quest driven by tarot card motifs. The video drove immediate adoption, with millions of Orbs transacted during the beta alone. By positioning Discord as a place where players are rewarded for their engagement, we generated 11k+ organic views and successfully normalized the new currency.
For the 'What is Discord' campaign, we used a hybrid workflow to accelerate our traditional timelines. This allowed us to execute background changes late in production while avoiding the cost of reshoots.
