Sandbox

Making space
for new voices

Looking at our industry, we recognized a lack of opportunity for young talent of diverse backgrounds.

What
we do

Our external mentorship program focuses on giving students from underrepresented communities more exposure to creative professions through mentorship and hands-on experience.

Our
mission

Much like the safety and creative freedom that a sandbox provides, our mission is to mentor fearless creativity. Through mentorship and hands-on experience, we support young people while they explore their interests and build new skills. Our goal is to help them visualize a path for themselves in this industry.

Applying for
Sandbox U

Applications open in May of each year and are due in August. The program will start in September, after the start of an academic fall semester. During the application process, students will be asked questions about their goals and current experience to determine which mentor would be a good match. Only those with a strong interest in the industry and the time availability should apply.

Applications for the Fall 2024 cohort are now open. Visit our careers page to apply.
