At Hook, we speak often about doing the work that matters, and it shows in how we create for our clients and our communities. Today, we’re honored to celebrate a project advancing accessibility, and we’re proud to receive silver recognition at the 3rd annual Anthem Awards, a Webby Awards initiative celebrating the purposeful projects that inspire change.
We partnered with Google to launch their new app, Project Relate, which uses machine learning to help individuals with non-standard speech communicate more easily. Through interviewing dozens of Project Relate users to learn about their experiences with non-standard speech, our team developed an accessible, interactive website highlighting both the scale and scope of non-standard speech and the impact of Google’s new platform on the community. Our project is celebrated in three categories:
- Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion: Digital & Innovative Experiences
- Health: Digital & Innovative Experiences
- Responsible Technology: Digital & Innovative Experiences
Impacting our community
The Anthem Awards shine a spotlight on the people and organizations across the globe that are amplifying causes through mission-driven work. We’re honored to receive recognition for Project Relate, and to continue driving awareness for non-standard speech users.
