Speeding up study time
For many students, hitting classwork deadlines can be a major challenge. To help, Google released NotebookLM, an AI-powered learning companion that generates summaries, study guides, and audio overviews from sources you upload. For the launch campaign, we started with a scrappy video shoot capturing real college students in situ, then brought this footage to life with informative 2D animations, 3D elements, and vibrant colors.
Results
NotebookLM was an instant hit, and not just with students. The Audio Overview feature became especially popular as a customizable alternative to podcasts. Students were among the earliest adopters, but the tool has since become successful with small businesses and non-profits, ultimately earning praise in the press as one of the best inventions of 2024.
